Sorry to be bothering you about so many questions, but I have no idea how to fix this!

What is it and what am I supposed to do about it? It's been doing this since I got it back from Best Buy - should I just take it back in to them?

Thanks again!

Edit: to = from

SLRs have a problem called "sensor dust," but since you have a point-and-shoot, that's probably not it.

Have you cleaned the lens? Does it appear in the same place in every shot, with the same effect?

If the answers are "no" followed by "yes," then I'd take it back.

Thanks for the quick answer! I think you said word for word what I worried about hearing...

After I noticed the spot, I tried cleaning the lens, but it didn't have any effect (and, in complete honesty, I haven't a clue what I was doing) ... and it does appear in the same spot all the time.

My poor camera....

Yup ... That certainly looks like one of the reasons warrantees exist.

Seems to be! Hopefully it'll be something relatively simple that the little man can do at the store and not send it back out again.... I just can't deal with being without my camera again....
