Some of you may know I shoot a great deal of bellydance shows...
these events are sometimes small with 6 or 7 performers ... sometime large with 20 and sometime multi-day affairs... (Yaa Halla Yall held here in TX is a 3 day show with 40 performers and troupes per evening)
I shot one last night which is a bi-monthly open stage show ...

The show started a 730 PM and by the end of the show I had 896 RAW captures.

The post processing started when I arrived home (after having dinner and a visit to the local watering hole)

The cards were dumped to disk and renamed - and imported into iMatch (my management application of choice) and a network backup was started and I go to bed at abut 3:30AM

At 8AM I check the backups and start going through and processing the images using Capture One Pro... At 10AM my wife tells me that we are going to IKEA...darm... Back a 5 FRIGGING PM after a day of shopping... back to the images ...

I finish the last image at 6:45PM and then convert to jpeg in the Imatch application - at 7:00PM the images are ready to transfer to the web server at 7:20 522 image are on line and ready for ordering.
at 8:05 the first order comes in for a 11X14 and 2 8X10 prints...

So in less than 24hours from the START TIME of the event the images are online and orders coming in.

My point to this story is ... Always have a well defined and repeatable workflow for all shoots (large or small) your efficiency increases and if you are doing this thing for $$$ your profits increase also !!!

Thanks I hope this helps someone !
