I want to ask that how many times did you jump on your contest submission preview page? As per as mine is concerned I can't put it in figures but lot of time I am busy in seeing the preview from all the angles of screen & nervous until at least first 5-10 votes come. After that generally it becomes clear how much the viewers are liking it & where the image is going.
Well I mean after submitting image & before starting the contest.

Well, AFTER voting I only open the image to read comments. But I tend to preview obsessively before the challenge closes and the images are finalized. In fact, I just now noticed a flaw that was bugging me no end on my "Fill the Frame" entry, and reopened it in photoshop to fix it... So sometimes obsessiveness pays off :-)

I'm the same way. I look at my entry all the time, and always find something to change. For instance, I dropped from fill the frame. I just don't think it would score above a 5. |

| I tend to wait until the last possible moment before submitting, so I preview my image before the voting starts once or twice, tops. But I do open my image in several different programs before submitting it to see if any program might interpret it differently (this includes 2 different browsers, too). |

With the "Fill Th Frame" I previewed obsessively (as usual) from the first time I uploaded to keep seeing how it would look to the voters...AND I unloaded it and reloaded re-processed versions 4 times this last week!! So I've basically submitted 4 times to the same challenge until I was happy.
Obsessive Compulsive.

| A billion times.. I just stare at my pics in a creepy stalkerish way.. Some I don't even want to change.. After voting obviously to check out the comments.. and maybe sometimes more to squeal again and again at the nice ones... |

Hmmm but it may not always pay off: the one I unloaded and uploaded 4 times in varying forms for "Fill the Frame"... well First vote 7 and by third vote 5.3!!! Needless to say I will click on the image more than a hundred time in the next week to cry "why oh why..!?"

I usually don't have time for that since I always submit things at the last moment...However with Fill the Frame I submitted it a whole 2 days before the deadline (on accident!) and I couldn't stop opening, closing, opening, closing, editing, opening, editing, reload, edit, edit, reload, obsessively stare for 10 minutes, edit, stare, edit, look at it on 2 other moniter, edit, submit.
I did that for two days and I thought I was gonna blow out a blood vessel, jeez! |
