Looking for some tips on shooting kids and a mom-kid picture. I want to gift my friend a print of both kind. Here's so far my attempt. I think I am doing ok with just the kid, Nishtha, but I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to compose with both mom, Namrata and Nishtha. Any tips or pointers welcome. I will be speding about 2 days in feb at their house...
Equipment I have available on the trip:
Canon 30D
70-200 F2.8
17-40 F4
100mm
550EX

(I have the frames in pictures to see how they will look when printed and framed )
cheers,
Gaurawa

i try not to actively pose my subjects. i see something that catches my eye, then i snap. i watch them and let them interact naturally with each other. at most, i'll tell them to look my way. i give more posing instructions when i'm shooting a single subject.
i think the photos you've posted are wonderful! very natural!

The natural pics look great - Although I must say the mum in these pics also liked these type of set up shots as well - I think if you cover all the bases you will be fine! Good luck.
