Certainly looks that way. They are calling it OS (Optical Stabilisation). No details (that I can find) on how many stops of OS it has.. Will be looking forward to reading some of the reviews on this lens. I wonder if Tamron plan to follow suit.

Sigma have had a small range of OS lens for awhile, but it's good the range is increasing.

yay... would be nice to have a good quality travel lens for canon with IS... If canon don't provide one, hopefully sigma provides a good 18-200mm with OS

They already have it on the 80-400 OS.

From B&H on the Sigma 80-400:

"The Sigma 80-400mm superzoom lens features the OS (Optical Stabilizer) system which minimizes image blur caused by camera shake, and offers the equivalent of shooting at a shutter speed 2-3 stops faster. This allows handheld telephoto zoom shooting even in poorly lit conditions."
