Concerning the Canon 430EX TTL Flash, Canon says that it transmits colour temperature information from the flash to compatible EOS DSLR cameras. The footnote says "This feature is supported on EOS-1D Mark II or later EOS digital cameras." Which cameras does that include? Will it work with my Rebel XTi?

That page has the answer in the next paragraph:
"430EX transmits colour temperature information from the flash to compatible EOS DSLR camera1."
"When mounted to the latest EOS digital cameras such as the EOS-1Ds Mark II, EOS-1D Mark II N, EOS 5D, EOS 20D or EOS 350D cameras, the Speedlite 430EX receives sensor size information (full frame, APS-C or APS-H) from the camera.1"
They share the same note... Note 1 is "This feature is supported on EOS-1D Mark II or later EOS digital cameras." |

Are you trying to point out that the Rebel XTi is in the EOS family? It does not say that it will work with all Canon EOS cameras. Only the EOS-1D Mark II or later EOS digital cameras. I am asking which cameras that includes. |

I didn't realize that they both shared the same footnote. Thanks.
I am probably safe with my 400D then. |
