Can someone explain to me this reflector business to me? I hear it all the time and I'm so confused. I want to get into portraiture very soon here and maybe do some senior portraits this summer so I want to learn as much as I can, as fast as I can. Diagrams and pictures would be the best, but yeah, I'm just lost overall...
Any advice on portraiture in general would be much appreciated as well (camera settings, equipment to use, etc...)
Thanks in advance.

You want to know what a reflector is?
Anything that reflects the light basically. Most often used to fill in shadow areas so they aren't as dark. Go into the photography section of your local library and you won't be able to swing a cat without hitting a book on portrait lighting. I would just grab a couple, a willing person, and some lights and start experimenting with what you find in the books. |
