Do you think I should or should not have submitted this image?
I took it specifically for the infinity challenge, but decided not to enter it. I felt it was a cliche of the water drop style and not very good technically, so I'm not participating this time around.

Cliche? Yes. But I still think it's a fantastic shot, and your color choice is perfect. A 10 from me. |

I like the water drop effect, I've not tried it myself yet so have no idea how hard it is to achieve.
I think that is a stunning photo, the red/yellow work very well.
Yes, I think you should have submitted it, and yes, I think it would have done very well indeed.
To me it says infinite both in the symbol and that an infinite number (as it were) of water drops each alos have the symbol in it.
Great photo.

Yes the concept has been DONE, but you did a wonderful job. I personally think you should have entered it, but I know if I'm not satisfied with an image, I won't enter it, so I understand the dilemma..

Here is a great tutorial on how this is achieved.

BTW, to the original poster-yes I think you should have entered it, and I think it would have done very well. |

I think it would have done quite well myself. Love the color and I agree with Natator and Riggs about the droplets of water. |

Thanks for that link there Riggs, I intend to go play with that idea for fun.

Natador,
Be advised that the most important thing to do is treat the glass with Rain-X or some other similar treatment to make the drops bead up nicely.

Yes, thanks for that tip stdavidson. I may not have poicked up on it being such a crutial element, and have failed miserably.
I'll have a go at this sometime and post what I do here, unless it becomes part of a challenge :) |
