I just purchased the Minolta G500 and I am getting red eye in every shot, with or without the red eye reduction on. What can I do to fix this? I have imaging software to fix after the fact, but I do NOT want to fix every shot.
Thanks

"Red eye reduction" will never totally get rid of red eye. What happens is the flash from your camera is reflecting off the retina of your subject. Red-eye reduction only makes the pupil smaller and "reduces" the effect.
The only way to never have red-eye is to not use the on camera flash, use a speed light you can bounce off the ceiling or have floods/strobes set up (not so good for candids). |

If indoors, you can have the subject look at a light source and there pupil will get smaller and no red-eye. Of course never look at the sun.
