Hello,
This is my 1st time posting here, and I realize DP hosts its own contests, but thought it was the right place to mention this.
There's a new photo contest that went live a few days ago that simply requires people to take creative photos of textbooks, and give their photo a title. Winner gets either "free textbooks for life" or can chose the cash option ($4000). It's sponsored by one of the largest publishers of college textbooks, and open to anyone > 18 yrs old.
After seeing some of the photos on this site, I KNOW there are tons of you here take can win it (esp. since there are only a handful of entries at the moment).

I'd love to enter but I am from Canada and it's only open to residents of the US. :(

The way I read it, it's not a contest. The second paragraph indicates the winner is chosen by random It also says the most popular photo (by views) will not be and automatic winner.
Sounds easy. Send a pic with some books and hope your name is drawn from the barrel.

I've reviewed the "contest" rules, and I agree that this is really not a contest, it's a "lottery" and its sole purpose is to promote the site in question. I'm not removing, but am locking this thread.
To the OP: we welcome new users with open arms, but please do *not* use the forums for advertising. |
