Have you ever noticed that when you plunge a rod into Iceland on a globe, that it comes out through Australia on the other side?

Thanks Richard. And I agree about the lack of notification. Every week many people are left wondering about their verifications. If the image is called up during the voting, then you have a notification on your front page in red. But if the approval for any verification is made AFTER voting finishes, then you never hear anything. I thought that even an automated response email would be courtesy in itself. But obviously not!!!

yanko should put that request in to the administrators as a web suggestion.....

Both of you are ribbon winners, and I think you have more clout than me, as I haven't won a ribbon yet. (I have come 4th & 5th re HM so guess that counts.)

I really do think it would be a courtesy email saying all is well with your ribbone entry .

It has been suggested before in different threads (including from myself)...but nothing was done....so I doubt it would make any difference.

I was going to point out earlier that in Free Study XIII there were three Aussies in the top 10 as well (Me, John White and Owen) but now that there has been a DQ in the Procrastination challenge and Amy is the 4th aussie in the top 10, it seems a bit late...

FYI, the DQ/Validation system has had some minor tweaks recently, and one addition has been the inclusion of email notifications when images are validated (both during and post challenge). Hope that explains why :o)
