How about a challenge featuring mythological creatures, ie classics like the minotaur, centaur, unicorn, Pegasus etc. Maybe toss in some 'new' ones like the hippogriff from that Harry Potter movie. |

Oh yes and needless to say I think expert editing would be a must for this challenge! |

Maybe putting in the description to not include gods would help keep the drama and angry voters to a minimum lol.
Good suggestion, definately see this getting used! |

DEATH... (From Terry Pratchet) or the tooth fairy!... very nice...
I think that if you saw Hogfather on Sky 1 in Brittain right before christmas, you wont have any problems finding mythological creatures...
I say skip the expert editing for this challenge... I don't like it.. |

I like the idea, and vote to:
Keep expert editing (not that i am) (sorry Bolti - I still respect/enjoy your work & all...)
Include gods of all sorts just fine, thank you (they ARE part of mythology, and shouldn't be excluded on the basis someone may not be able to seperate their own religion from literary greatness)

I love this idea!
I think it SHOULD include gods & goddess' as well as the creatures - those are all part of mythology.
I don't care for the expert editing but I can see where it may help. This could end up either Advanced or Expert. If becomes Expert Editing I think one can operate within the bounds of Advanced Editing by be creative and STILL come up with something spectacular.

I see two different Challenge Topics in this one:
1. Mythological Beings
2. Grimm's Fairy Tales
Love the idea of both - but not running concurrently.

Myth and Fantasy could be the theme. I have had an idea waiting for this for a month or two now. I have all my props ready to go - just waiting for the right challenge. I thought I might have to shoot it for a FS but thi stype challenge would be perfect. Personally I would prefer ADvanced but any ruleset would do (except minimal - that would be pretty tough). |

Methinks Faery would have a distinct advantage, but trolls are real and DNMC. ;-) |
