What a week for the team! Three top 10's for the team...

Art CoughLMAO checking in. I have been sick as a dog for the past 7 or 8 days and completely incapacitated for the past 4. I barely got an entry in last weeks fruits & veggies challenge and was pretty disgusted with it. I got nothing in the Street or Love/Hate. Work projects have piled up, clients putting on the pressure, bills to pay and I am still operating at about 40%. I am a stickler for living up to a commitment, but I think I am going to have to bow out. :(

I feel really crappy about it (in addition to just feeling crappy). I rarely get sick, but have been "burning the candle" with a blowtorch for the past year, running on 3 or 4 hours sleep a night and all it takes is one stubborn ass virus to knock me out for over a week! And it will take me a couple months to catch up on things.

Anyhow, please accept my apology for bailing. I hope bailing early in the season is better than posting a bunch of zeros and then bailing. I'd like to say you'll be better off without me, but we all know I carried this team - well, up to the point where the season actually started. ;-)

I will still root for you guys and place bets against you. :)

Wow, way to go Nuzzer, Scarbrd and Zoomdack, I'm SO impressed! What a week, WOW!

Art, get healthy and continue kissing your clients' asses, afterall, they are the ones financing your camera gear. But don't worry about entering low-scoring stuff, it doesn't hurt as only the top four scores are used. IMO, there's always a chance you'll enter a 7+ shot just by goofing off at the last minute. That's how I got my 7.69. But most of all, get healthy and keep the paychecks coming in.

Oh yeah, and this is all about FUN, remember that, now go out there and WIN!

Here's me so far, I expect my Luv score to go up a fair bit, at least it had better, after emasculating myself by entereing a touchy-feely shot. :-P

Great scores everyone. My Street Photography is sitting at about 5.1, so I really hope it's not needed. We're expecting a big ice storm tomorrow night so hopefully I can get something good for that or one of the others.

Don't think free study scores count for anything in WPL, just the member challenge and one of the open challenges.

As for me, I'm at at 5.35 in ice. dang.
Got ideas for both furniture and red. (red furniture?)

Also, thought the Free Study doesn't count for WPL, I've had my entry in for a while, and I have higher hopes for it than I had for my ice entry.

First off, woohootieflakes, a ribbon! :-)

But secondly, my apologies in advance, as I don't have any entries in this round. :-(

There's a big exploration convention (PDAC) going on right now, and it's typically my busiest week of the year with work during the day and shmoozing at cocktail parties at night. I had a good, easy idea for red which had potential to do really well, and I planned on doing it last night. Instead I ended up taking a colleague to the hospital for a possible heart attack. We spent most of the day/evening there and when I got home I just didn't feel like it :-(

Red is at 6.4 and been rising all day. I have nothing yet for next week but am thinking about doing something for image grain.

Holy smokes, guys! Looks like we made it into the brackets! Only four of us participated (one challenge each, no less!) in this last round and you managed to outscore the previously undefeated Team20D. Very impressive! Way to go Nuzzer, scarbrd, mad_brewer, & Art Rofmao!

I've got my entry in for Image Grain and it's doing well so far, though it's very early in the scoring there's a reasonable chance I'll be getting my third 7+ score in a row, so I'm very happy with that. I already have an entry in for Colour Portrait as well.

Who else has something in for this round?

Sadly, we've got a team injury.

Silverfoxx was in a car accident. Broken bones and all, she sounds to be in good spirits and on the mend, thankfully. She's left us with an awesome score to use in this first round of the brackets, though. Thanks Silverfoxx, and get well soon!

This is what it looks like as of today. It's looking close against team ImageNation so far, and will depend on what goes down in the Open challenges.

My member challenge is going to be a low five, so I've got to come up with an idea for the open challenge & get it done too.
