Just finished voting on 100% of this challenge. There were several that were really awesome. . but jeeeez, there seemed to be a lot that didn't fit.

I'm at 6.30.

Will be very interesting to see how this one ends up!

Judging by the comments, many are saying mine doesn't fit. I thought we were just supposed to submit what we didn't get around to doing enough of. I thought it was simple. Entering these challenges is like learning a new language, and I need Berlitz training.

Well, in this case I'm glad I wasn't a baghead because that let those three folks help me realize I'd goofed! :) I wouldn't have realized, and I wouldn't have revoted and recommented.

Anyway, even though I would've entered something else had I read the description beforehand, I've got 4 comments from people who I made laugh. And I'll take that gladly! :)

Also, once again, I learned just from editing. For once, my shot isn't cluttered in the background thanks to the magic of cloning. Eventually, that's bound to pay off. Right? Right?!?

The score? Not so much:

On the subject of titles, I do think there are some challenges where the title is pretty necessary, like Famous Last Words. And now that I've read the description, it's fine here, too. But in most challenges, I agree with folks who've left me comments saying the title shouldn't carry the idea.

Sloooowwwwwlllly creeping up. Thanks to anyone that revoted, lol!!

Just a thought, but honestly wonder if there are folks out there that still have not tried calibrating their monitors. It makes a huge difference between what someone submits and sees and the guy on the other end sees if not calibrated. It sounded like a good excuse, heehee.

C'mon Jeff, are you sure you re-voted on all of them? I need to squeeze out all the help I can get.

No, to overuse the one-note joke this entire challenge has demanded, I'll get to yours later. Perhaps.

I'm hovering just above four, with varied comments (four of them) :D

this is my first ever challenge - what is considered a 'decent' score?

This blows. Apparently, so does the shot.

:D so I'm guessing my average of:

isn't too good, then? :D

That depends....do you like the photo personally?
I have found that on this site, voting does not determine a good photograph. If you like what you shoot, you have already won.

That is not to say that the winners do not deserve to win. I wanted to get that in there before we get a whinning thread going:P

Come on folks! The description for this challenge says to "Show us what you put off doing all last year."

That doesn't have to imply that the photo needs to show procrastination in action but, rather, to show something you need to do (or to do more of).

So, (for example, and I haven't looked at all the photos yet), if the image is of someone chopping down a tree, then this should clearly meet the challenge.

It doesn't have to be that person sleeping on a couch with a view of the tree in the background window, waiting to be cut down.

So, please, if you left DNMC comments, I ask you to revisit the entries and rethink your votes.

Well, at any rate, here are my current stats:

well, of course I like it now, or I wouldn't have submitted. How I feel about it after all the votes are in might be competely different. :D

Well spoken, lesgainous. Most of my comments are in the DNMC category and the photo is just an action that I think needs doing. Simple. For nell, the redeeming factor is that I like the photo and as skills improve I'll make it better.

I can pretty safely say that I really should have learned something by now, but apparently, well, have not.

I'm still just over 4. But to be honest, I'd be very very happy if I've even got one or two votes at 7+. That'd make my day for sure. :D

My score is not great but the comments are FANTASTIC!

It struck me this morning that I should have added more elements to my image! Why do I wait till to late to figure THAT out???
