150 votes when you take your time is not the easy way out believe me!
|
Another reason why I believe it would be a good idea to have a rule saying that you HAVE to vote on all pictures in the challenges you participate in...
This would probably result in fewer entries and more votes |
Of course it may also mean a lot more 5 votes as people zoom through voting in order to satisfy the 100% requirement |

Now what fun would that be? :oD |

I know this random assignment statement has been made many times but I find it hard to believe. Too many times over the years there have been groups of similar photos either right next to each other or very, very close to one another. At least that has been true for me.
...bod..."Besides, my score hasn't moved more than 0.1 from where it was 100 votes ago."
I find this true too...rarely does it change much until the end when the votes that don't count are out.

I find it really daunting to vote on 300-400 photos. Since I don't think I could face voting on every single one - I choose not to vote on any... |

I have 353 votes out of 801 entries in 2 challenges. Almost 50%

Do you have this installed? Makes voting MUCH easier then having to click and type - worth the install!
Just did the free study myself, cannot leave these things to the last minute :-)

The 20% rule is actually fine by me to - but, I would prefer it if you couldn't see any thumbs before you had voted. I believe that a lot of voters go "cherry picking" before voting and those pictures that make good thumbs get the most attention. |

I dunno about others ... but ... if I vote on ONE photo in a challenge ... I vote on EVERY photo in that challenge. |

I agree 100% with this. I think the thumbnails should not be shown until after you've voted on an image. I like the idea of being able to go back and change my vote. But the thumbnails shouldn't be shown ahead of time.

About the voting script or macro or whatever ... I like the mouse selection BETTER. It is how most places and things interface with me on the net and I am used to it. |

I would like to see this tried for a while.
or, let the thumbs be viewed and commented on but, when one wants to vote they select a VOTE key and it pops up a photo and won't send another until a vote is cast. Trying to bypass this photo could be easily stopped. Seems easy enough to implement.

Ditto ... might take me the whole week to get to them all ... but I give every photo a fair shake ... lately with all of the challenges it's taking a LOT longer! |
