I seem to remember this is not legal in Advanced but I can't find the post. Is it illegal? Specifically I'm talking about using it to correct keystoning. If this is illegal, can you use a free transform or what method, if any, is allowed? |

What about vignetting using that filter?

If I remember correctly, you can use distortion tools to correct an image (eg fix perspective), but not create a new feature.

Nope. Selective tonal or color adjustments have pretty much always been legal, and they remain so under the new rules. The onl exception is if you create a new, recognizable feature, like a ray of light, a rectangle of color, etc., that was not in the photo before. |

There is no yes or no answer to this one. If you use the lighting effects, and in doing so create recognizable shapes, you may be DQ'd since the shape is a feature that might well be described as part of the composition by the average viewer. If, however, you just use it to highlight parts of the subject, you are not creating any recognizable feature, and are within the rules. |
