I could have sent a ticket, but thought it might be useful for others to see this question. What's the word on using Photoshop CS3 beta for post processing in challenge entries? The software includes new adjustment layers such as "Black and White", which will be useful in, say, the current "Black and White Portrait II" challenge. Will SC be able (and willing) to reproduce results if there's a verification request?

N.B.: I'm not expecting a verification request, but there's always hope. :)

I'm using it for all my stuff at the moment, as I suspect a large number of DPCers are. In a word, yes, you can use it for challenges. Remember that Basic Editing challenge rules are "process-based" and so there may be some new features that have not been ruled on. If you suspect that a specific feature may be illegal, I'd suggest opening a ticket to raise the question. With regard to the B+W feature, I've used it and I can't imagine that it would be ruled illegal. It's a more sophisiticated channel mixer, in a nutshell.
