not quite what they've tried, but, unfortunately, because of responses like cindy's, they seemed to have taken the unusual (for them) posture of "since it works for most of us, the problem must be yours..." not quite that cavalier, but, all the same, putting more of the onus on those of us with problems to try to resolve the issue.
my pings time out, and my tracert indicates timeouts as well.

on the other hand, their pluto server seems to be fine
