Does anyone know how to make a CD catalog with photographs in a way that they can't be extracted from de CD?

| Bottom line, whatever can be displayed can be copied. So the choices are either watermark the images, or make the images small enough that they will not be usable by someone interested in thievery. |

Can images be extracted from a PDF file?

Yes, to the extent that they can be displayed. Blow up the image to fill the screen and hit "Print Screen" then paste into an image editor. The larger the screen, the larger the photo that can be "extracted" in one shot.
