Okies, my work partner is buying a Canon 1DS Mark II, 580EX, 28-300mm 3.5, lightsphere and walk around lens (probably 28-105mm). The other ranges we have covered....!
Now I use the LowePro Slingshot 200 for my main gear. What do you recommend for his gear? And I need to get all this tomorrow...so start shooting.

I ended up getting the Speed Racer from Think Tank Photo
//www.thinktankphoto.com/ttp_product_SpdRcr.php
I've got it holding my Rebel XT, 50mm, 18-55mm, 70-210, 430EX Flash, Diffuser, a number of filters, memory cards and other assorted small pieces (remote release, etc.) |

I have a Tamrac Expedition 7 and it is VERY comfortable, if that's important to him. AnExpedition 5 would fit his gear just fine though if he doesn't get a ton of more stuff. What sold me on the Tamrac was trying a few on and feeling how comfortable it was, and it has those neat little "wing pockets" right on the front for small items so you don't have to open the whole bag to get to them. I also got the large side pockets and one of those easily fits both my 580 and lightsphere (they're big, might be too big for the Ex. 5 though).

Hi Judi,
I picked up this Lowepro Compudaypack bag a couple weeks ago on sale for $75(CDN) and it is great, holds my laptop, camera and a few other items, and it has plenty of storage and its easy to get to the camera and accessories.

I bought the Podzilla by RoadWired and love the thing. Have been using it fo over 2 years and I forget all the crap I have crammed in there.
But I do have the D70 with wither the 17-80mm or 50mm on with the other below it, a 70-300mm in one side pocket, flash in the other, 6 AA batteries, extra EN-EL3 for the camera, WhiBal card, remote, 3 extra CF cards, pen, hand notebook, Lumiquest softbox (for flash), bubble level, 17-80mm lens shade, lens cloth, lens pen, table tripod, flash stand, ummmmm......more crap and more places to cram stuff.
LOVE IT!! AND IT IS ON SALE RIGHT NOW!!

Yes, Santa Claus left this same backpack under the tree for me. I travel quite a bit (every week) and needed something to carry a subset of my gear--the bare neccessities like body, two lenses, filters, batteries, charger, and laptop computer; and it had to fit under an airplane seat. This was the perfect prescription.
