I hooked up my new monitor...and something strange is happening.

Why would a change in monitor affect how my PBase galleries are viewed?
I went to my account and the display options had all defaulted to one style.

I changed my main gallery index page to the style I usually like, and it was fine.

Then I went in to change a gallery itself to the same style and the text is now huge! I reset it back to the default and the text is fine again.

I'm confused and any help would be appreciated. I went from a 17" flat screen CRT to a 19" lcd wide format.

Could be an interaction between the size of yoiur borowser window and how the site is rendered, but I suspect it's just Pbase being Pbase.

I really doubt it's PBase...I was just on the site prior to switching monitors. It was fine using the old moitor. I've never had any trouble with PBase.

!!!!!!Sensor dust never looked so good :( I had NO idea I had that much sensor dust going on. I thought my monitor was okay...not great, but not that bad.

Oh my goodness...now some of my scores make a lot more sense :/

I still can't figure out what's going on with my PBase galleries. I have a lot of photos on there and it will be a pain to have to redo everything! Any ideas?

Maybe a long shot but try clearing your browser cache and see if that helps.
The pages I've looked at seem okay.

The galleries also look OK from my end. I'm running a very high resolution with a large browser window, so evidently that isn't it.
I confess to being stumped.

Here Is a link to my first gallery. I have chosen the style sheet I had been using all along. Can someone tell me if the text is too large when you view it?

I appreciate you guys checking it out for me, but I had put it back to styles that didn't seem to have a problem. If you could look now, and let me know, I'd appreciate it.

hehe...yeah. I have no idea why it's now doing that. Oh well, I'll just change the style for now. Thanks for checking.

Since it is funky for me too, I do think that it's just something buggered with Pbase.
I atually quit supporting Pbase becase of the repeated corruption of thumbnails and images. I had to rebuild thumbs repeatedly and in some cases reload entire gallleries. That and the frequent downtime finally drove me out.

Thanks. Yeah..I think I'll wait it out a bit before I go pulling my hair out. I've been at PBase for a few years and really like it. At the very beginning, they had a lot of trouble with losing thumbnails and not linking, but they seem to have fixed that and actually gave extra subscription time to make up for it and I haven't had any trouble since then. I find it very reliable and very easy to use.

I do really like this new monitor. It will take a bit of getting used to, though. The real test will come when I get some prints made. Just for viewing, however, it's tack sharp. Great clarity and color.

Indeed it will! Watch the brightness and black point, they can be set too high on LCDs.
