Centered Composition Scores............ Here

I have 4 images in other challenges sitting at 5.8's when I expected 6.4-6.5's based on previous trend...then I enter this image expecting 5.8's...very little work, very little editing, and nothing flash and here is my score:

Just as an FYI I normally ding DNMC's pretty tough. This one? Hardly at all. Unless of course the whole picture is a white ball on a black background and its smack dab against the bottom left hand corner. And if that actually describes someone's entry please know that I am detailing what I believe is an extreme example in this challenge.

I'm at 6.5

I f***ed up though. I had a tough decision on uploading a colour or B/w verison of my photo. I originally submitted a b/w photo but it suffers from horrible jpeg compression. I was going to resubmit the photo (a colour version) but I got drunk tonight instead.

Having decided 30 mins before the deadline to enter this, I find I have my highest score so far. (OK, 9 votes is a little early to celebrate but I'm happy right now). I'm sure it'll go right back down to where I usually end up by the end of the week.
