I took the shot in RAW.
I opened it in bridge.
rotated in bridge.
set WB in bridge.
tweaked some more in Photoshop.
Saved as a jpeg.
And now when I view the thumbnail in bridge, there are a couple of little icons on the thumbnail that appear to indicate the editing I did in bridge.
My question is: have I somehow altered the original file that would give it reason for a DQ if i was to somehow win with the shot?
And if so, how do i avoid doing it in the future?
Understand?
Thanks very much.

Don't worry about it. The icons are indicating that there ARE changes, but they are stored in a separate file and are reapplied each time you open the RAW file. The RAW file itself is unmodified.

are talking about an icon that looks like a notebook? I just noticed that on mine yesterday, and didn't know what that meant either....I opened in Elements Raw Viewer...I think I may have adjusted it there before opening. So is that what the notebook icon means?

Thanks Robert.
I was hoping/thinking that was the case as I knew I hadn't saved over any original files.
But if the edits are re-applied each time, is there any way to get to the original unaltered file again?
In case I want to edit it differently.
Is it simply a case of "ctrl+z"?

I don't think it was a note book icon (I'm at work at the moment, so I can't check).
I know one icon was the crop tool icon.
Which made sense as I had cropped the picture!!!!

Notebook icon shows that you have added notes; there's a place to do that so you can keep track of what you've done, etc. Crop tool means you've cropped, right. And so forth. You can get back to zero by choosing "revert to camera settings", I don't remember exactly what it's called but it is there.
