Of the 7 focus points that my Rebel XT has ... only one of them works ... the second from the left ... no matter what lens I put on the camera or what settings I change to ... doesn't matter where in the composition of the photo that focus sensor is (background or foreground) that is the only point that will work ...

Has anyone else had this problem or have any clues how to fix it????

So you've tried changing the focus point and you can't get it to change at all? I don't think a lens would affect this.

ok ... nevermind ... I'm an idiot ... I let my family play with the camera over the holidays and someone must have messed with my autofocus points ... LOL ... that's what I get for letting them play "photographer" ...

thanks for jumpstarting my memory!
