I am trying to make a digital portfolio to put on a cd. Basically I made a website, and I want to stick it on the cd. I keep reprograming it to read off of the cd but once I do that, either the links dont work, or the rollovers dont show up. Is there an easy way to do this? Does any one have any suggestions? |

Are the urls relative or absolute? Is the style sheet referenced correctly? |

The links access other html files on the cd. The style sheet is done correctly(I beleive) my biggest problem is I have all these rollovers, but when I burn the cd, they dont work |

Are the links to the other html files relative or absolute? It's far easier to make them relative then you don't need to know what the drive letter is etc, etc.

You need to make sure that you aren't referencing any files that don't exist on the CD already. Also, instead of referencing the drive directly, use as little path as possible. So, to display the file one.jpg in the 'graphics' folder on the CD, refer to "graphics/one.jpg" instead of "D:\root\graphics\one.jpg". This way, too, will help ensure that your CD will work regardless of the CD's letter designation on whatever computer it's inserted into.

I'm not sure if I fully understand your question, but I think the answer is:
The referencing file wherein you place "graphics/one.jpg" will assume automatically that a folder named "graphics" is in the same location that it is in, and procede accordingly. So if you are refering to "graphics/one.jpg" in the file index.html, the browswer will assume that "graphics" is in the same place "inxex.html" is stored.
Hope that makes sense!
