Looking for some input on these two photos.
Removed some object trying to make it look better without it looking to fake.

Your thoughts?

Before:

After:

It would have been so much easier to remove the objects on site before taking the photo.

Next time! :)

Nice job removing the object on the right.

The reflection in the window is a bit distracting and the empty end of the table leaves the image a bit out of balance.

You might be able to soften the window reflection. I don't know what you can do about the table this time around. I think it would have worked with one more person seated (standing person on right -> seated on left).

Thank you,

Yeah, sure wish I would have noticed that window before. The reflections suck and I already removed a large one from the camera flash.

Something more sure does need to be done to the left. Going to work on that some more. Just not sure how yet, lol..

Thanks..

The cleaned-up version definitely is improved. One thing I noticed right off is that the created wall/floor line at right goes in the wrong direction, making the wall appear twisted. It should run down and right to match the perspective of the ceiling line.

Yeah, that's it!
There was something that just did not look right to me between the floor and wall. You are correct, it runs the wrong direction! lol....

So much to learn and everyone here is so helpful, thanks!!

I think the group will be happy regardless of the items around. As always a good lesson has been learned. When ever I take any photo I look at the surrounding areas almost as much as the subjects. I learnt my mistake by getting a second place instead of a first in a national competition because I had failed to remove a cigarette packet from a landscape picture - Never again!
Anyway my only comment on the after pic you did is that I think it needs the tree as it's a big part of the picture. I darkened the edges to remove some of the objects and got rid of that light. Of course I only did this quickly just to give an idea.
Happy New Year.

Nice idea, will see if I can do something like that too, thanks.

Wow, I would love to hear more about that and see your photo. What was the competition? Is it on a website someplace that I could view it?

Feel free to post it hear or pm me with the info, really interested.

By the way here are a couple of snaps I did for our Christmas photo. Sometimes telling people to pretend to be laughing can be fun.
I also get everyone to do a spontaneous comedy picture. Sometimes these are better than the "normal" shot.
Cheers
