so its okay that if its been in my portfolio most of the year and viewed a couple hundred times?

That's your call to make. It may effect voting with some people if they recognize it but that's about it. Who knows if those couple of hundred viewers that saw it will actually vote on your image.

It would be strange if you haven't shared your best photo already. Be it at dpc, any of the other popular critique and gallery sites, newspapers, magazines, books, etc. This challenge is a bit different from all the others imho.
