My friend gave me a Quantaray PZ-1 DSZ (Dual Switched Zoom) flash that he wasn't using ... problem is that I can't seem to make it work with my Rebel XT ... anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong or if this flash is not compatible with my camera?

edit to add that the flash didn't come with a manual ... and I can't seem to find one on the internet either ... the Rebel XT manual was also not very helpful ...

Just hit Google and..... Not sure why a 350D would be different from a 10D and from this link does not sound like it works directly from the hot shoe....Link
