I would love to know what the price is going to be on the 50-135 mm F2.8 ED [IF] .

They should be available in March 2007 and that would be great timing for me as I will be wanting something like that for soccer and baseball season.

Anyone seen a price on these yet?
Would you like to take a guess?

This is one of those lenses jointly developed with Tokina (hoya, which is merging with pentax). B&H has the new Tokina 50-135 f2.8 @ $799.95. It could be slightly more expensive, the same or lower. Common sense tells me it would be more, but the 10-17 fisheye zoom is actually cheaper in the Pentax version than the Tokina version.
