So is ther eanything I need to do now, or am I just part of Team Suck Novus? I'm confused.

jaysonmc relax, enter challenges, and comment freely.

Team Novice - please ask posthumous to add jaysonmc. I suspect you all will find him invaluable for his comments and contribution.

(And no fair sending it to others or posting it in the forums!)

Left you a PM, can't wait to try making some of these brownies.

Yes, congrats you two. Those are some very fine images.

And if you check page 1 - jaysonmc is officially in the League of Suck.

The pages are backwards - page 75?

Wow, do I ever have that brownie recipe memorized now! Thanks to all members of the Brownie Recipe Club (you know who you are) for your suggestions and useful comments.

Just a quick addendum for the recipe - if you do use butter, make sure it is softened, not melted. Big difference between the two. And if you like nuts in your brownies, I'd guess that a 1/2 cup of nuts should be about right for this recipe.

A quick reminder as this thread can move pretty fast - hi, I'm snaffles and I want to sell pix to Shutterstock, so I am asking my TS fellows for assistance in choosing pix worthy of putting in a portfolio to submit to Shutterstock. Any extra post-editing hints to help enhance pix that just need a little more work would be great, too. I now have Photoshop 8.0 so I am up to speed in terms of that, now just need to know how to maximize the program.

So, don't be the only Team Suckee without a PM'd snaffles' mum's brownie recipe! Check out my portfolio, choose the 5-8 pix you like best and PM me your list!

Don't delay! Sometimes my pix suck, but my brownies don't!

If I really understood what "stock" meant, I'd be happy to suggest shots. :)

I'll be checking the snaffles portfolio this evening and picking out my favorites.

posthumous just has to do it. Team novice doesn't have a leader, possibly because we're all eternal novices.

Welcome, jaysonmc. :)

Welcome jaysonmc! We're a laid back bunch. Happy when we get great scores, fine when we don't. I really like the use of color in your profile photos, BTW. Looks like a real strong suit of yours.
snaffles that brownie recipe looks killer! My husband is going to love you!

Based on what you guys have posted, I still have a while to wait to check my score on Exit. I figure I'll wait 'til the vote count gets to be about 125. Then maybe I'll look.

Well, there's rootstock and there's livestock and there's lock, stock and barrel. Then there's shots...

Couple of shots of chocolate brownie and all bets are off.

Then again...

There's these 'places' (in the virtual sphere) where you can go and browse through a vast number of pictures that are classified by subject, etc. When you find the one you want to embellish your new web page/callingcard/cv/advertising campaign or whatever, you ante up for downloading rights. Most of the stock photography sites seem to me to have an arrangement whereby the happy clicker such as you and me gets to have a whole lot of pictures in amongst the 'stock' on display and then gets a percentage of whatever was anted up for the download.

I have a bottle of kahlúa here, if you're finding the brownies too heavy.

Laugh. I went to look at his profile pic, but he doesn't have one. Then I realized what you meant. :)

Raish: Thanks for the definition of "stock!"

Jeb: Don't sweat it. Scores usually rise in the latter part of the week.

Why? Ain't nothing wrong with a 5.99 at all. And it can always go the other direction. No sympathy from Team Suckers for a 5.9! In fact, we don't sympthasize much at all for scores. Empathize, maybe.

Sympthasize? I have no idea where that came from, nor what it means, but I'm betting Don will tell me...

Hi everyone. I haven't been able to read the thread since last night because my daughter and son-in-law arrived from Pittsburgh this morning for a brief stay. I have checked my comments on the Match photo, and I really appreciate all the nice things you have said. I'll be back tomorrow to try to catch up on the thread.

Perhaps you don't belong on Team Suck?? I think you should reassess your place in life. In Team Suck we don't even dream of 5.99, we want above 5.0, but know our place. We ain't quite bottom feeders, but 5.6 is medal ground for us.

Do you think we have struggled here for years, just to get high scores?? We are Team Suck!

For ONCE, DPC timing worked directly in my favor. A friend at work wanted a certain shot for a Web site he's building, so I brought in my camera today and shot it. Some of the angles involved putting the camera on a conference table.

And then I go check this week's open challenges! Whoopee! I just hope they look as good on the computer as they do on the LCD. :)

THIS WEEK'S RESULTS!!!

BLUE=====Team Novice======5.93915
RED======The Hoovers======5.8177
YELLOW===Team Entropy=====5.541733333
BROWN====Team Minus=======5.229633333

Congratulations to Team Novice!! They have the distinction of leaderlessly awarding an OOBIE and YAPPIE to persons of their choice. And the winner of Momentary Lapse of Sucking is... skewsme!! She gets to comment on Team Suckers or offer an equivalent service.

Sympthasize, v., to artificially create a sense of identity with a foreign object through chemical means.
