I got my dad a telescope for christmas, its pretty cool. I put it on the porch for about an hour to equalize the temperature and such, but when i went to take a look its all foggy. Is this something that will correct itself if its out there longer or what?

Often it does not correct itself. Like a metal surface, a glass surface will form dew easily. keeping it just slightly above ambient temperature is the preferred way of preventing this. If you have access to line power, just hit it from afar with a momentary puff from a hair dryer. An occasional treatment should keep it clear. Another alternative is a "dew shield" which is like a long lens hood. You can heat them slightly with a band heater made especially for this pourpose, but htey are somewhat effective even without heat.
On dryer nights, you should not have the problem.

Did you get a camera mount??? If so, please post pics when available!

it came with a mount but its ment for P&S cameras, i have a fairly good P&S but i have no clue what settings to put it at for them to come out nice. Anyone with experience in this department please contact me. The clouds started rolling in so im hopeing they'll clear up soon. Its only 7:30 so ill check once every 1/2 hour and try it for a bit. Its great fun and the moon was SO clear about an hour ago, its quite amazing stuff. We brought the telescope in about 20min ago so its warming up and we'll take another crack at it.
