Would love some input on this photo.
Leave me a comment on what you like or don't like about the photo. What could have been done different. I will be glad to leave a comment on one of yours too, thanks..

I left you some feedback - if I was to "let you have it" I would say that my first reaction was to ask if you just pulled the poor kid out of a frozen lake, but that would just be mean. ;-)

Hope what I left was helpful. No need for reciprocation - I don't have much new stuff lately.

that is good and I was thinking the skin looked funny.
Was playing around with the white balance.

Very helpful feedback, thanks..

Man your mean, lol...

j/k

I really love this type of input as I can use it to learn.
It is really helpful and I do appreciate it, thanks!

I did screw the photo up as I had tried to set custom white balance quickly. I was trying to take a candid shot when he was sitting there waiting for everyone else.

I did a crop and tried to get read of the blue and warm his skin tones.
What do you think now? I have a hard time getting the colors and skin tones right if I have to adjust them later.

If anyone would like to take the photo and make some adjustment to show me how I would really appreciate it.

DO you have the original posted somewhere it can be downloaded? Working with a small file wont help much.

This one has my steps that I used to get to this point in the details of the photo.

MattO

The problem I see with the photo is it looks like he is watching something on the tv thats putting a cast of some sort on his skin. When you make the skin the correct color, the other colors dont look right. You could select just his skin in a selection and correct it, however I'm not sure you know how to do that. HOnestly I'm not sure I know how to do that!
