I am wondering if anyone from there knows a more reasonably priced way to see them polar bears?
And is the best time to see them in the fall? or is another time good too?

Hey Lynn,

When are you planning to go to the arctic? Googling Churchill MB might bring up some results.

well, i am not actually planning yet, I have seen the stuff on the web it is all very overpriced I thought, I wondered if there was a cheap way to do it, but thanks for the links.

I agree, the tour that includes the Balugas is very pricy, almost double the polar bear only tours and only two days longer.

I suspect the main cost is the airfare from Winnipeg to Churchill $803USD). There was a rail option on one of them but it was $399 each way.

Day tour out of Edmonton or Calgary to see the bears...

This is done every year. The 2007 dates aren't posted yet but the itinerary is there.
