I've just mentioned this to my son and it's created huge excitement in our house tonight. I'll send a photo tomorrow, the young photog has decided he needs a new shot for the challenge so he has convinced his sister to model for him in the morning. *sigh* I guess my morning shoot will have to wait, I'm now queuing to use my own camera. |

The Challenge is over and the results are in...
As you know, I put up a 1 YR Membership, and RayEthier sweetly and generously offered another 1 YR Membership for this challenge. I have now been contacted by several others who wished to anonymously donate 1 YR Memberships for the participants. Since we only ended up with 5 entries, this means that EVERY ONE OF THEM will be awarded a 1YR Membership for participating in the challenge.
Each particpant (and parent) has received an email notifying them of their membership, and a critique on their entry. (If you particpated and did NOT get an email, please PM me immediately!)
Thanks to all who showed an interest in this endeavor, and especially those who were willing to jump in and donate memberships, it will mean so much to the kids.

Thanks Barry, and nope, I'm choosing to go in the other direction, Haha!!
These memberships for the kids is the best birthday present I could have gotten. |

On behalf of Aidan let me say a loud Thank You!!! He goes thorugh spurts of using his camera but we hope to soon be showing him how to edit. He already knows how to surf around the DPC site looking at pics pretty well so it shouldnt be long before he can edit better than his mom and dad. I am glad that all the kids are getting memberships. I think that is a fitting way to finish this off. Thank you Linda and Ray and those anonymous people who helped out here as well.
Now if we can just find someone willing to donate a Canon 5D we will be golden. ;)

This was and is a wonderful gift to our younger DPC's.
I thank you all re the wonderful members who have donated five memberships to the deserving young folk. Special thanks to Linda & Ray and the anonymous people as well.
You are truely wonderfu,l and look forward to looking at our young members profiles and images from time to time.

| On Behalf of Liam I'd like to say say thank you so very much to those that have been so generous in supporting the young DPC'rs. Liam is away for 3 weeks so he doesn't know he's a member yet but he was so excited to enter the challenge that I guess he'll be jumping into challenges as soon as he gets back. This is such wonderful encouragement for him to pursue something that he loves, thank you lhall, RayEthierand the other anonymous doners. You've put some lovely big smiles on little faces. |
