Just thought, since it was discussed last week about adding a new feature to our profile page showing annual stats, that I would do my own calculation. What a job. I joined in March of 2005, and I have no more challenges to tally for 2006, so here is my breakdown. Hope others do the same and add to this thread.
2005 Challenges
Challenges entered - 34
Challenges DQ'd - 1
Average Accumulated from 33 challenges - 4.7867
Average percent placement - 28%
2006 Challenges
Challenges Entered - 61
Challenges DQ'd - 1
Average Accumulated from 60 challenges - 5.3332
Average percent placement - 46%
In 2005 I began with an Olympus D550z 3.1 megapixel. Lowest score was my first entry, Minimalism, called Hairy Banister, with a score of 3.663 and 1% placement. I ended the year with a Sony DSC-H1, 5.1 megapixel and also gave me my highest, my Triptych entry, Fading Into Night, with a score of 5.6194 and 48% placement.
Hairy Banister (lowest score for 2005)
Fading Into Night (highest score for 2005)
In 2006 I began with the DSC-H1. Added the Sony Alpha A100K, 10.2 megapixel and a Canon EOS Rebel 300D(cheap, used,)6.29 megapixel. My lowest score was the Framing entry, Show Me The Money, with a score of 3.9094 and 3% placement. That was taken with the Canon Rebel. My highest score was from the Geometry challenge, Web Geometry, with a score of 6.6556 and 98% placement. That was taken with the Sony Alpha A100K.
Show Me The Money (lowest score for 2006)
Web Geometry (highest score for 2006)
So if you have a breakdown of your stats, how about sharing it? I expect that 2007 my score may actually go down as new voters come in.
