Are reflections considered shadows? I tried to avoid scenes like that when I shot my submission, only to see so many posted. Am I becoming narrow-minded along with others or reflections shouldn't be in this challenge?

I rather thought a shadow is different from a reflection.
I shot a shadow....
But, I'm trying to not be too critical and voting on the image, with a possible 1 point deduction if I think it's off topic.

In simple, laymans terms (ie, mine)

A reflection is an 'area' where light is reflected from it's source.
A shadow is an 'area' where light is blocked from it's source.

To me, two different things.

So, I'm looking for shadows, ie areas of blocked light.

This could get tricky.

Reflected light illuminates shadow areas. That means that there could be some point of interest there. This would still be a use of shadow, albeit a more complicated one.

(edited to alter spelling mistakes. ooopppss.)
