In the Past I have normally saved my photos at the reolution set at 72
but I have Put a Photo into a Challenge after I set it at 200 to be printed.
Does the resolution make any difference here to the quality of the image or the size of it.
Or am I just being Daft ?
Cheers.
Joe

I am no professional but I believe that 72 dpi is the best you will get on the internet. 300 and 400 dpi are for printing. |

Notice that DPI and PPI are two different things:
Display, Printing, DPI and PPI

For the web, 640 pixels is 640 pixels is 640 pixels... DPI is irrelevant.

What Leroy said. For web display, *all* that matters is the dimensions in pixels. Set the dpi to 10 or 1000, it makes absolutely no difference in how the image is displayed, or the information it contains. The only thing it changes is the size it would print at. |
