Hi,
Is it possible to get a burnt pixel on the camera display? I just took some pics and saw a small dark spot on the display. I thought I had something on the filter on my lense but it was clean as well as the lense so then I thought I had some dust on the senson but when I look at the pics in bridge and PS there is no spot. Took a few more pics and it is still showing on the camera display but not in PS, bridge or the canon programs. It only shows against a white or light background.
Thanks for your time.

| I had a red pixel on the LCD of my one camera, so I would guess a black one would be possible? |

I have one on my EVF/LCD too.
Since it doesn't affect the photo's output, I've learnt to ignore it.
anyway, have you checked if your RAW have the dot? I'm saying this because your DIGIC might have removed it from your JPEGS. |

Yes, totally possible and probable that you have a burned pixel. Curious, though - how many accuations do you have on the camera to date?

You probably have what is known as a dead pixel. They are common on LCDs. I have one on my laptop.
kyebosh must've had a stuck pixel.
Stuck pixels can usualy be fixed but I know of no way to fix a dead pixel. This should have no affect at all on your photos. |

Doesn't really sound like you are describing a dead pixel to me. I could be wrong, but it sorta sounds like moisture between the LCD and the plastic that covers it.
Edit: Or perhaps something, like dust, that is pressing on the LCD itself.

Hi,
I took them all in RAW and the spot is not in Adobe camera RAW. The last image was number 331 so I assume that would me the number of accuations? The camera is still under warranty so I will bring it in after the holidays. I just wanted to see if it was possible. I did not want to take it back and have them tell me that it was not possible for that to happen and try to tell me it was a dirty sensor or something like that. I think I have ruled out the possibility of dirt.
Thank you again for your time
