I hear that Friday is the day for travel, b/c there is another snow coming in on Saterday. But of course depending on were you travel and were to. Good Luck.

Up here in (BLOWING) Greeley, I am not sure how much has fallen, but enough. I went out at 6pm to get the truck out and then cleared some road and my drive (with an avalanche shovel-some ASS stole my snow shovel from the front of my house), the front walkway and the backdoor so the dog could go out. All about an hour and a half. I drove to town also to fill up the truck and get a new shovel, but no open Walmart. :( Fun Dirve!! going back to my snowplow days!
The pics are my front walk, driveway and backdoor. Have a huge cornice over the backdoor now. Pics were at 2100, and the backyard is almost under 5 foot drift and front is almost 4 feet!! woohoo!

I'm now on my 29th hour at work.
Let's hear those CDOT complaints...I've been dealing with so many of them that I think I'm actually pretty good at diffusing any anger.
Oh, and to answer the Crested Butte question...yes, CB has received a ton of snow. This is not simply an eastern plains storm. Areas of the mountains have received well over two feet.
32 years old, a Colorado native, and 5+ years of CDOT experience and this storm is unlike any I've ever seen. Remember it, because this sort of thing isn't going to happen again any time soon. |

When I was pushing snow, we did a 36 hour straight run. One beer after that and slept for 18 hours.

I think many of the guys out on the roads tonight are hoping for the same thing. I'm lucky that I'm in a nice warm office, but no doubt I'll be crashing out when I get home until at least Saturday. |

I got my third foot on the balcony table overnight. I need to throw a coat and shoes on, trek outside to see if getting my car out is even feasible. I'm betting not, and I'm betting I'll be getting a phone call in the next half hour or so telling me not to come in to work.

Wow you guys are getting slammed. We haven't had a storm like that for a few years, I think 1999 was the last time we got 2 feet of snow in one storm followed up by another foot 2 days later. Was a hell of a mess. Last year we had a couple of storms that laid down a foot or more and one this year that put down about 10 inches. Right now our yard is greener than New Zealand, Wonder if that storm you guys got will produce a white christmas for us Wisconsin folk.

This makes me feel like xmas.

Still coming down hard in Parker. Not as much as the last big one, but more than I expected. It was probably worse at my old house. |

I love how nature mimics nature!!! Miles away from any ocean, yet we have a huge wave about to crash into our front door!
And the rest of my day out in the snow! Aurora, Colorado

Hey Eddi!
I'm near Quincy & Parker. I just got in from digging out. Didn't quite make it to the road. No work for me unless they plow the road. |

I thought that green belt looked familiar. I used to walk my Akita along that path all the time. I used to live on mobile and Chambers, just down from Discount tire, back along the green belt there.
Us techies have no way of getting away from work! If the computer works, I work. My boss just sent me some work to do. Damn, now I'm gonna have to go cut the power lines!!! Wheres my heavy duty wire cutters. |
