Pictures one and four are quite nice. Picture three is my least favorite because it doesn't look very sharp. Also, pictures one and two look better than pictures three and four because the child is nicely offset just a little.

In both the snaps( i converted BW from colored) i shot them against a green Background and removed the BG.
These images have been downsized from 1500x2100@ 300 PPI, to this size

The white in the girls shirt is very bright.
Honestly none of these do much for me but I don't really get into posed studio shots either.
I do think they are better in black and white because both backgrounds seem to clash in my opinion.

i did get the clash part, you mean BG are too distracting with color of subject's clothes |

I like the first one the best but there is still some weird green casting and possibly masking showing on the hair.
I'd like the black and whites with more contrast.
and the last one is nice too. I'd burn down some of the brightness on the shirt though.

Thanks Jaded Youth. Orignal back ground was Green, i guess while removing , some of it was not removed |
