Only running Mac in Windows mode for Windows application. Sorry. |
Just FYI.
It doesn't work on Linux+wine either. It installs and runs, but returns an error when click on "analyze" or "desaturate": It says you've loaded a 16 bits TIFF (I didn't, it was your blue rose example file) and suggest to convert to 8 bits and try again(I did, same results).
The exit button woks as intended though. :)

Hi, GUI, nice to see you 'round here. I am also on this spanish web carlos talked about, and there _GUI_ asked for a photographic web to announce his Tone hacker and recommended DPC.
As you can see GUI has great amount of spare time, LOL.
Seriously, he made a very good job. I can't understand the logic of it, but it works great for the examples I've seen.
Good job, GUI and see you soon.

Here's a straight B/W version of my "dirt" entry:
Here's a self portrait by John Setzler:
Here's the dirt entry with the tones ripped from Setzler and applied:
Takes more time to locate and load the im,ages than it does to analyze and tone. Super nifty tool!

Thank you undieyatch! however I'd like to point that this tool is to tone B&W pictures according to the tones of another toned B&W picture. That means that if the image analysed is in colour (not toned, mean real colours like your yellow flowers and green leaves), Tone Hacker will obtain the curves to produce the AVERAGE tone on this picture, but will never restaurate each of the individual colours appearing in the first image. That is why your last picture shows some kind of yellowy-green atmosphere lol
In fact I am working on an idea for a colour Tone Hacker using HSV curves instead of RGB; but I am doing this just for fun, I am certainly sure that the results will be far from this B&W version.
Best.

yes..... it was surprising what came from a colour foto analysis. I'll be looking forward to your HSV version. |
