Shoot RAW and fine tune white balance in the RAW converter, where you have a great deal of control over it.

To get it right from the get-go, shoot the refrigerator only, with the light you will be using, and follow your manual's instructions for establishing a custom WB off that shot. But you're still better off using RAW in iffy light situations, even IF you have established a custom WB.

Direct linking to challenge entries is a big no no.

Aside from that, what WB setting did you use? It's best to set up a custom WB and use that, expecially if you're shooting with non-standard lights.

Even then, you will want to make sure the background is about 2 stops brighter than the light falling on your subject.
