Not that celeb photographers shooting celeb movie stars is anything new, but I thought that the video footage of the shoot was rather interesting. Instead of wondering how the heck so-and-so did that, we get to see how he shoots, how the sets really look, etc. I like how he's shooting through a textured pane of glass/plexi/plastic at the end.

THAT'S what my studio is missing! A 30 foot stone tower!

Cool little video. It'll be interesting to see the actual pictures.

That's English man :P

I love Dakota. But since when is Karl Lagerfeld a photographer? (or is that a very stupid question)

kind of off topic - but i read an article recently in studio photograper ( i think ) - where the photographer sets up a still frame camera on a timed exposure thing. he sets this up out of the way on the set - and fires shots off from this camera every 30secs or so. afterwards he stiches them together into a movie so he can see the whole shoot as it happened. in a couple of instances the clients purchased the still frame movie too.

he started doing this for one assignment where it was required, and now says he uses the method on most shoots - whether the client wants the video or not.

I don't think it's stupid - I wondered the same thing. But it explains why someone else is setting up the camera and handing it to him. He's an artist with a vision, but probably needs some help to execute it. Still, interesting video!

My assistant brings me tea though..and is very useful in holding the 12 week old puppy off just long enough for me to get my precariously set up shot!! He's (the assistant that is) is about the same age as me and comes with an antenuptual agreement :-)

As long as he's not shooting Dakota's fanny, it's just another Brooke Shields in blue jeans. :-/
