A few friends and I will be putting up a portrait booth tomorrow at the mall, but so far the colors of the prints are coming out way too yellow. The images look fine on the computer and the colors are consistent when viewed on different monitors. We've tried different settings in Photoshop CS2, such as converting to RGB versus CYMK; Absolute versus Relative Calorimetric; letting Printer decide the color versus letting Photoshop decide...etc. Certain settings have been better than others, but they are all coming out with the color cast. Please please please help; this is a bit of an emergency. Thanks in advance!
The printer we've been using:
Canon i8500 |

Do you have full, fresh cartridges of ink? I was printing Christmas cards earlier, and they were coming out too yellow. It was a beach scene, so it didn't matter too much, but when I put a fresh magenta in, everything printed the way it should. I don't do that much printing, so I can't give any further advice. (Lucky for you!)

are you using the correct ICC profile for your printer and the type of paper you're using?

Off the point slightly (dont mean to highjack this thead) but does anyone know where I can get an ICC profile for a Canon S820 ?
I just thought that maybe the printer experts out there might know.

I guess it depends on the paper you are using. I use Ilford papers mainly with my Epson 2100 and the Ilford website has the profiles for each type of paper and the printers. I also use the Epson Premium Semi Gloss and this profile I got from the Epson page. I'm sure Canon probably has something similar?

Look at the website of the paper that you have. |

Have tried the "Canson" (a French paper that I am using) website and couldn't find anything for the canon S820.
I tried looking at the canon site - couldn't find anything on any of their printers (although I assume there must be something - somewhere).
I emailed a site in the states that had profiles - they did respond but said the printer was too old (3yrs ??). |
