I just saw a discussion here on dpc with the topic "Feel like Alice in Wonderland". Well, I had to wait at the dentist this morning and opened a glossy magazine (not Vogue) because it had a cool picture on the frontpage. Inside was an article/ photo essay by Annie Leibovitz (the naked John Lennon around Yoko Ono photo remember, hours before he was killed) titled Alice in Wonderland.
It looked quite interesting. The idea is a young girl that is lost in the land of fashion. So you see her wearing dresses from the designer that created them, all in a blue dress Alice in Wonderland theme. Not all are super, but some are fun and perhaps inspiring so I thought I'd share (might be old news for some).

Style.com article "Alice in Wonderland"; Click on "See more photos" to start the slideshow.

The prints looked a lot better (and bigger), but I particularly liked "Pig & Pepper" with Karl Lagerfeld, "The Mad Tea Party", "Who Stole the Tards?" and "Through the Looking Glass".

This might also be a fun topic for a challenge.

Thanks for posting this link. I am a great fan of Annie Leibovitz and ccheck out anything I can find that she did.

This shoot did not appear to be as innovative as much of her work, imo of course, (although the last in the series was a winner) but she undoubtedly did exactly what the magazine wanted her to do, and with panache.

Wow that is fantastic. She has a new book out with some more of her personal images, including her children. I bought for my sister after seeing a blurb about it on tv.

I'm not going to view the series here at school, but the mind boggles with these new interpretations. Goodness, gracious! "Who Stole the Tards?"????
