Smoke from the San Bernardino wildfires is covering the sky here, giving everything an eerie color cast. I tried to capture the sky color:

I like the way the sun is peering through the tree in one little place there. The smoke doesn't really look like smoke though, if you hadn't said that it was smoke I would have taken them for clouds.
Actually "smoke" is a good idea for a challenge topic!

I agree, smoke would be a great challenge.
Maybe fire and smoke, broaden it a little, but either would be fun to play with.
*brain starts ticking over with ideas .... smoke begins to pour out of ears .... idea for photo does not eventuate ;)
