I really like both of these. The compositions are great. The grain in the top photo is totally working for me. I really like it. Looks very antiquey.
In the bottom photo, my only suggestion would have been to frame it differently. I would have personally liked it better if the handle was more in the left of the frame, and we could see a bit of the window. I'm just being nitpicky when I say that. I really do lke the photos. Can't wait to see more of your work.

I love both photos - great job. However, they both look like they have been seriously sharpened. Is it me? |

I like the Franklin Street Building a bit more and
I agree with Alienyst, it seems like the photos have
been sharpened several times or you might have set the
ISO too high giving the photo a grainy look. Regardless,
they are both very nice photos ! |

Thanks for the comments.
Not sure why they look so "Sharpened"
I took a few more pics today of the Door handle with my 4.0 mega camera.
Hopefully they came out a little better and perhaps a little less "Grainy" Thanks for the Comments Guys.
And
NO I did not sharpen these at all.
All I did was Antique the Franklin street and Black and White the Door Handle.
Perhaps if I have time I can post the color Versions.
Greg in Boston.

I looked up the specs for your camera, what is your image setting at ?
a. 2272 x 1702 SHQ / HQ
b. 1600 x 1200, SQ1
c. 640 x 480, SQ2
you may want to set it at 2272 x 1702.

Hi Thanks for looking that up.
I take my pics on level c.
Should I shoot them at A. ?
And then re-size ?
Sorry I am fairly new at photography.
Thanks.

Absolutely. You may need a larger memory card but it's
worth it. You will see an immediate improvement in your
photos. Have fun and keep shooting !! |
