I am planning to shoot weddings and do some portraits at Elementary schools next year and I cant decide what lens to buy for around $350. |

Hi. I own the 18-70 and have used a borrowed 55-200. I have to say the 55-200 is very toy-like, the manual focus feels like an afterthought, the front rotates during focusing etc. Much like the 18-55. I can see you have a 70-300, so why would you buy this one? If I were you, I would either buy a 18-70 and sell the 18-55, or buy a 18-200 and sell both the 18-55 and 70-300. I find the 200-300mm focal range with my Sigma 70-300 is only usable in very good light and somewhat soft. Finally, the 18-70 (and, I imagine, the 18-200 as well) feel a class above to hold and use. And focus is so fast...
