I was thinking about buying the 18-70mm lens but the guy at Wolfcamera recommended me get 55-200mm lens since I already have the 18-55mm kit lens. I dont know which one to buy for shooting portraits and weddings.
Please help me out. |

I wouldn't use any of these lenses for portraits and certainly not for weddings. The 18-70 is okish, but the 18-55 and 55-200 not IMHO.
A third party 24-70 or 28-70 f/2.8 might be a better option in combination with a 50 f/1.8

This looks like a good place to throw in the old standby lens, the Tamron 28-75mm. I linked to the Canon mount because there are so many more owners and more pics. Here is a link to the Nikon mount.
I will be ordering mine soon. |

You can get it here (Nikon mount). I've ordered from them 3 times with no trouble.
