Anyone know about the compatability of the d100 with pocket wizards? I tried to use my d70s with them this weekend but just no way to get there from here.
I'm thinking of using a d100 for studio/location shoots so I can use them. If they'll work.
Also, with the d100 is it possible to shoot tethered? |

I don't see any reason why pocket wizards wouldn't work with the D70s so now you have me worried. The D100 lacks Nikon's "Creative Light System" (CLS) and that limits what I can do with Nikon wireless controls, but I don't think Pocket Wizards would use that standard. Even if they did, the D70s supports CLS so that shouldn't have been an issue.
As for shooting tethered, I don't think it is possible. Nikon Capture might have something in it to handle this (I've never used it, this is just a guess). In my experience though, the D100 is disabled when connected to the computer. Even if you could shoot tethered, it would be painful as the D100 only has USB 1.1 |

slow as in waiting a couple minutes for a pic to make it to screen? or 10 seconds as opposed to 1 on the d200?

5-10 seconds isn't so bad unless you're trying to take 3 or 4 pictures every time. Then it could get in the way for sure.
